Vik Sorensangbam is a senior character artist and supervisor-level character & creature modeler specializing in hero digi-doubles for feature films. In addition to film work, Vik served as Team Character Supervisor at Ubisoft and as an Outsourcing Art Director, where he led teams and collaborated with international studios to maintain visual quality, production efficiency, and pipeline consistency across complex, multi-studio projects. After studying classical animation, 3D animation, visual effects, and film theory at Vancouver Film School in 2005, he began his professional artistic journey in 2006, building nearly two decades of experience across high-end visual effects and video game production.
Through a career spanning both feature films and interactive entertainment, Vik has developed a deep, cross-disciplinary understanding of the visual effects and video game industries, bridging cinematic realism with real-time production demands. He is credited for creating the Hero Digi-Double in Red One and for modeling Cal, Krampus, and Gal Gadot for Netflix’s Heart of Stone, delivering assets built for extreme close-up cinematic fidelity.
His expertise spans premium character, creature, hard-surface, and garment modeling, with extensive use of Marvelous Designer on major productions including Kong: Skull Island, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Jack Ryan, Watchmen, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Rogue One, Moonfall, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
In 2024, he founded Vik3D Digital, a boutique studio delivering high-end character and asset work for films and games, combining artistic precision with production-proven workflows.
